Survive This!

Is it just me, or have the last couple episodes of Survivor: Fiji been some of the best the series has ever produced?! Overflowing with double-crosses, machinations, subversive plots, and out-of-nowhere surprises, the show I considered a lack-luster shadow of its former self has come roaring back the past few weeks with an explosive and breathtaking vengeance.

Why didn't Alex/Mookie just STEAL the idol after they found it in Yao Man's bag???

I wondered the same thing myself, Shergul. Maybe there are show rules about that sort of thing or maybe they knew that if they went that far if would end up destroying them--if not now then at the final tribal.

I don't even know if I can describe it, it is so complicated. If you are not watching, I still recommend getting online and streaming the last two episodes. It has to do with a gang of four jocks who called themselves the Four Horseman who thought so arrogantly that they had it all sown up only to be double-crossed by a mole in the most astonishing way. Then, when they plan revenge, they are unknowingly overheard by the other side which sets in motion a plan to cut their legs out even further. In the end, the Horseman begin turning on each other. The "nerds" if you will are dominating this one and it is delightful to see everything play out.

Yes, there is a rule stating that, although the IN and HII are transferable, they cannot be stolen. Personally I thought this season has turned out to be decent after off to a rocky (pun intended) start. Yau-Man is my hero!!! Still, Marquesas and Cook Islands are my favorite seasons to date.

Nothing can ever touch season 1, when it was still a thing of wide eyed wonder, and we were still getting used to the word "Alliance" while keeping a straight face around the watercooler.
