Trek Rumors and Confirmations
It seems that Mike Vogel doesn't have a lock on the role of Captain Kirk, after all. Chris Pine, according to "The Hollywood Reporter," is also liked for the part.
While the rumors fly around the fabled Captain's chair, another appears to be set in stone. Munich's Eric Bana will play the film's villian!

Finally, some casting news that I am excited about!!!!!
John Cho as Sulu... so we got one of the guys from one of my most favorite "fun" movies of recent years, "Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle."
Simon Pegg (wow, love this guy) as Scotty!!!!!!!!!!!!! What else can be said? He seems perfect... and we all loved "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz" right?
I am finally getting excited about this one...
Is is just me, or could you see Simon Pegg doing a fantastic rendition of Bill Shatner's Kirk?
